Terms of Service

Provider and scope

DealCater is provided by Nordic Resolutions Oy (Business ID 3446364-4). These public terms apply to the DealCater website, application and integrations unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A customer-specific service agreement, order confirmation or data-processing agreement takes precedence over these terms in the event of a conflict.

Business service and user accounts

DealCater is intended primarily for businesses and professional users in catering, restaurants and related services. Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials and use only the company data and functions they are authorised to access.

The customer is responsible for its users, role assignments and actions carried out through its accounts. Suspected unauthorised use must be reported without delay.

Customer content and lawful use

The customer retains responsibility for content and personal data it enters into the service, including offers, customer records, event information and calendar content. The customer must have the necessary rights and lawful basis to process and synchronise that data.

The service may not be used unlawfully, to infringe third-party rights, distribute harmful material, probe security controls or interfere with the service or other customers.

Calendar connections

A user connecting a Google or Microsoft account confirms that they are authorised to connect it on behalf of the company. Company calendar connections may be shared with other authorised DealCater users in the same company.

The customer selects which external calendar is linked and whether the connection imports data or operates bidirectionally. A linked calendar can be unlinked locally without deleting the external calendar. Disconnecting an account may require linked calendars to be unlinked first.

DealCater-managed calendars and customer-imported calendars use different connection methods. Connecting a customer Google account is not required for a Google calendar created and managed by DealCater.

Synchronisation and third-party services

Calendar updates are processed asynchronously and may take several minutes. Availability and timing also depend on Google, Microsoft, networks and other third-party services outside DealCater’s control.

DealCater monitors and retries eligible failures but does not guarantee uninterrupted, instantaneous or error-free synchronisation. Users should verify important events and notices in the relevant systems. DealCater is not a backup service for an external calendar.

Google and Microsoft services are governed by their own terms. DealCater is not a Google or Microsoft product and is not endorsed by them.

Availability, changes and support

We develop and maintain the service and may make changes required for security, legal compliance, reliability or product development. Planned maintenance and material changes are communicated where reasonably possible.

Support is provided through the agreed support channels and service level. Features that depend on third parties may change if those providers change their APIs, policies or availability.

Fees and customer agreement

Fees, billing periods, included features and termination terms are defined in the customer’s order or service agreement. The customer is responsible for applicable taxes and for paying undisputed invoices by their due date.

Intellectual property

Nordic Resolutions Oy and its licensors retain all rights in DealCater, its software, design, documentation and trademarks. The customer receives a limited right to use the service during the agreement for its internal business purposes.

The customer retains rights in its own content and grants DealCater the rights necessary to host, process, transmit and display that content solely to provide the service.

Data protection and confidentiality

Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the customer’s data-processing agreement. Each party must protect confidential information received from the other and use it only for the agreed purpose.

Suspension and termination

Access may be restricted temporarily when necessary to address a security threat, unlawful use, material breach, non-payment or risk to the service or other customers. Where reasonably possible, the customer is informed and given an opportunity to remedy the issue.

After termination, access and customer data are handled according to the customer agreement, legal retention duties and agreed export or deletion procedures.

Liability

Each party is responsible for direct loss caused by its breach as provided in the applicable customer agreement and mandatory law. Neither party is responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Customer-specific liability caps and exclusions are defined in the applicable service agreement.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be resolved through negotiation and, if this is not possible, by a competent court in Finland.

We may update these terms for justified legal, security or service reasons. The current version and effective date are published on this page. Material changes affecting an ongoing paid service are communicated in accordance with the customer agreement.
